On October 31, Sakcable celebrated the grand opening of its third remodeled facility and a new showroom in Zestafoni.

The opening ceremony was attended by key figures including Romeo Mikautadze, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Zviad Shalamberidze, State Trustee in the Imereti Region; Lasha Bostashvili from Enterprise Georgia; Vasil Gvelesiani, Mayor of Zestafoni; and Elguja Berandze, Deputy Head of the Customs Department of the Revenue Service. The event also saw the presence of representatives from public institutions, banking and electrical industry companies, partners, media, and other private sector stakeholders.

“Today marks the presentation of our third modernized space and the opening of a new showroom,” said David Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable. “Sakcable continuously brings innovations to our customers. Our production is growing and advancing technologically. This time, we are focusing on renewable and green energy cable products, which are gaining popularity globally, including in Georgia. We commenced the production of solar cables according to European standards a few months ago and today received the European certificate, confirming that our products meet all relevant standards.”

He continued, “We utilized state support to realize this project. I am confident that our solar cables will enhance Georgia’s energy security and boost our export efforts, contributing to additional foreign exchange earnings for the country. The launch of this new production line is also significant for the development of the Imereti region and Zestafoni municipality’s economy.”

Romeo Mikautadze, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of the new production space.

“In this renewed facility, Sakcable produces new, energy-efficient products that are highly sought after in both Georgia and internationally. Through Enterprise Georgia, we support projects that not only expand productivity and product range but also create new jobs, introduce new technologies, and enhance the country’s export potential. The new production line was funded with investment from Enterprise Georgia. We now see a modernized enterprise equipped with high-tech machinery and equipment, which has also created new local jobs. Sakcable’s international product demand will greatly benefit our country’s export potential,” said Mikautadze.

Following the tour of the upgraded enterprise, Sakcable organized a conference to promote business development, where the company’s management shared updates on their plans, including the production of solar cables. At the end of the conference, Elguja Berandze handed over certificates confirming Sakcable’s status as an authorized economic operator (AEO), offering the company new simplified customs possibilities.

Sakcable’s network includes:

  • An enterprise in Zestafoni producing cables, insulating materials, and corrugated pipes
  • 8 official showrooms throughout Georgia
  • 40 dealerships and 300 partner stores

The company’s future plans focus on the development of large energy projects.
