“Sakcable” continues to promote renewable energy in the country, and this time, a cooperation agreement has been formalized with “Enovus.” The document was signed by Davit Kapanadze, Managing Director of “Sakcable,” and Giorgi Abuladze, Founder and Managing Partner of “Enovus.” Under this partnership, “Enovus” will exclusively use “Sakcable” products in solar power plant installations until the end of 2024.
This strategic partnership is aimed at advancing renewable energy infrastructure in Georgia. An important aspect of this collaboration is that solar power plants will be built throughout the country using high-quality, locally produced cables by “Sakcable.”
Several joint projects have already been successfully implemented, including a total installation of 1,200.8 kW at “Buxwood School,” the international distribution company “Megaco,” “Draw Room” company, and “Pensan Georgia” LLC. Together, these solar power plants have a total annual production exceeding 1,214,181 kWh. These projects are particularly significant because they exclusively use solar cables manufactured in Georgia by “Sakcable.”
“At “Sakcable”, we are committed to innovation and high quality, continuously pushing the cable industry forward with European-standard products produced right here in Georgia. The Czech “Electrotechnical Testing Institute” granted the CPR and conformity certificate to our solar cables, confirming compliance with the European Union’s harmonized construction product regulations. Additionally, our cables underwent rigorous testing by the international certification body “TUV Nord” over a period of seven months. The tests evaluated UV resistance, mechanical strength, electrical characteristics, insulation composition, temperature resistance, and the absence of halogen and flammable gases.
This extensive testing process confirmed that “Sakcable’s” solar cable meets the EN 50618:2014 and IEC 62930:2017 standards, ensuring long-term, reliable operation of solar panels. We are proud that with our locally produced products, we can contribute to Georgia’s transition to renewable energy alongside our partner, “Enovus,” – David Kapanadze, Managing Director of “Sakcable.”
“Enovus is a leader in the local market, offering customers high-quality services. That’s why we use only premium-quality components, including cables, to ensure stable and efficient energy generation in our solar power plant designs and installations. “Sakcable’s” solar cables, with their European and international certifications, play a key role in the efficient operation of these plants. Due to the product’s high quality, Enovus has decided to completely replace imported cables with those produced by “Sakcable.”
“We are delighted that our long-term partnership allows us to work together on important and strategic renewable energy projects for Georgia, while also promoting the sustainable development of the local economy.” – Giorgi Abuladze, Founder and Managing Partner of “Enovus.”
As part of this partnership, installation work on another project, the “Akhaltsikhe Solar Power Plant,” is actively underway. The facility will have an installed capacity of 2.3 MW and an annual output of 4,400,000 kWh. In addition to solar cables, Enovus will also use other “Sakcable” products for this project, including ABC electric cables, corrugated pipes, “Schneider Electric” automatic circuit breakers, and more.
“Sakcable” has been the leader in the local market for 67 years, offering customers around 2,000 products related to both cables and electrification. One of the company’s key priorities is the diversification of export markets and import substitution within the Georgian economy. It’s worth noting that all “Sakcable” products, whether for local or international markets, undergo detailed inspection in the company’s accredited quality control laboratory before being delivered to customers.
