EuroMontage, a subsidiary of Sakcable, has launched production of a new product category, UV-resistant corrugated pipes. The addition of this new product marks an important step in the development of EuroMontage’s manufacturing capabilities and expands the company’s portfolio of electrical installation and construction products.
UV-resistant corrugated pipes are designed for electrical installations where the pipes may be exposed to direct or indirect ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight for extended periods. They are particularly suitable for outdoor electrical installations, including building façades, rooftops, solar energy systems, as well as construction and infrastructure projects.
Prolonged exposure to UV radiation can, over time, cause structural and visual changes in conventional plastic materials. The use of UV-resistant corrugated pipes helps maintain the product’s functional properties under long-term operating conditions while providing an additional layer of protection for the cables installed inside.
EuroMontage manufactures the new product in four sizes: 16 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, and 32mm. Made from polyethylene, the corrugated pipes are manufactured in accordance with international standards, as confirmed by a certificate of conformity issued by the Czech Electrotechnical Testing Institute (EZÚ).
The product’s resistance to UV radiation was evaluated through testing conducted by EZÚ under artificial weathering conditions in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 4892-2:2013 + A1:2022.
By developing its own manufacturing capabilities, EuroMontage is expanding the scope of the Sakcable Group’s activities beyond cable manufacturing and building its own production portfolio in the electrical installation and construction products segment.
Currently, EuroMontage offers polyethylene, polypropylene, and UV-resistant corrugated pipes. Going forward, the company plans to gradually expand its in-house production portfolio by introducing new categories of electrical installation and construction products.
