Sakcable took part in the international renewable energy forum “Enabling PV,” organized by Germany’s Federal Foreign Office. The event brought together over 100 experts from the public, industrial, financial, and educational sectors across the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
The forum addressed various topics related to the promotion of solar and other renewable energies, including the development of photovoltaic systems, energy-efficient strategies, the importance of a skilled workforce, and more.
During the event, a panel discussion titled “Value Creation and Industrial Development: Establishing Local Production for Renewable Energy Components” was held. Sakcable’s Managing Director, Davit Kapanadze, spoke about the significance of producing local solar (H1Z2Z2-K) cables and their role in contributing to Georgia’s energy independence.
“As you know, solar cables are crucial for the efficient operation of solar power plants. We began production earlier this year, and demand has been growing steadily. Our solar cables stand out due to their exceptional resistance to environmental conditions. One key advantage is the Italian insulation material used, which includes additives to protect against birds and rodents. Altogether, this ensures reliable connections and the long-term operation of solar panels. Certification from the Czech Electrotechnical Testing Institute and TÜV Nord allows us to proudly say that our local production not only meets international standards but also reduces import dependence, fosters innovation, and strengthens Georgia’s economy.
Events like the Enabling PV Forum offer a valuable platform for local and international industry representatives to share insights and the latest trends. It was encouraging to see the strong interest in Sakcable’s solar cables from colleagues in the South Caucasus and Central Asia. I am confident that regional collaboration and shared expertise will open even more opportunities to promote renewable energy infrastructure development,” – said Davit Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable.
This year marks the first time the Enabling PV forum has been held. The two-day event, hosted in Georgia, gathered leading players from the renewable energy sectors in the South Caucasus and Central Asia. For more information on the forum, please visit: https://enabling-pv.net/forum.
