A new modern educational space, known as Ideatheca, has opened at Zestaponi Public School No. 7, named after Revaz Mumladze, through a partnership between Sakcable and Bank of Georgia.

The new space will provide more than 1,300 students with opportunities to expand their knowledge, discover new interests, and bring their ideas to life.

Equipped with modern educational resources, Ideatheca features a library of approximately 2,000 books, computers, a projector, and a dedicated STEM corner. The space is designed to support both formal and informal learning, encouraging students to broaden their knowledge, develop new skills, and explore their creativity and curiosity.

Sakcable’s history and growth are deeply rooted in Zestaponi, home to the company’s manufacturing facility. Since 1958, Sakcable has been producing cable products in the city, playing an important role in its economic and industrial development for decades. Alongside creating local employment opportunities and supporting regional industrial growth, Sakcable remains committed to strengthening the community in which future generations grow, learn, and develop.

For this reason, investing in education and creating new opportunities for young people is an important part of the company’s commitment to the community. The initiative, implemented in partnership with Bank of Georgia, represents another meaningful step in this direction, providing youth in Zestaponi with greater access to educational resources and opportunities for personal development.

Bank of Georgia launched its Ideatheca initiative in 2019 with the aim of improving access to quality educational resources and supporting the intellectual development of young people across Georgia.Today, Ideatheca operate in 30 public schools across 11 regions of Georgia, providing more than 21,000 students with access to modern educational resources and opportunities for learning and development.
