Sakcable received support from the USAID program in the process of adhering to international standards and obtaining relevant certificates for cable products. On February 22, the company was awarded a commemorative certificate at the final event held within the USAID Economic Security Program.

“With the increased demand in the Georgian market and the feedback received from the African exhibition, we decided to expand our production line to include ‘solar’ cables. The USAID program assisted us in product certification. We introduced international quality management standards and obtained the relevant certificates, which are crucial for establishing ourselves in Western markets with high purchasing power.

During the testing process, a working group from Europe visited the Sakcable factory. They studied not only the cable characteristics but also the production process, machines, and raw materials used. They confirmed that the production of ‘solar’ cables complies with European standards and recommendations, meeting European legislation on health, safety, and environmental compliance, enabling free trade in the European market.

For Sakcable, as a Georgian manufacturer, the support received within the framework of the USAID Economic Security Program is vital for international certification. This allows us to more effectively increase the company’s reputation and credibility in both local and foreign markets and compete equally with international companies.

Our focus is on renewable, green energy. The share of renewable energy in total energy is increasing, and the importance of cables in maintaining the reliability and stability of the grid is becoming even more evident. To support the certification process, compete internationally, and utilize export markets, we are eager to take advantage of this program in the future if given the opportunity,” said David Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable.

Sakcable’s mission is to advance the cable industry of Georgia through innovation, international quality production, and recognition.
