Sakcable Factory Hosts Pilot Program by DMT GmbH & Co. KG for CERA 4in1 Performance Standard (CPS-II) and Chain of Custody Standard (CCS)

15.01.26

Sakcable is pleased to announce its recent participation in the pilot program of CERA 4in1 Performance Standard (CPS) and the CERA 4in1 Chain of Custody Standard (CCS), conducted by DMTGmbH & Co. KG. The process involved on-site visits to both Sakcable factory and head office, meetings and interviews with employees across departments, and a review of Sakcable’s operational, social, environmental and governance practices.

The CPS for the downstream value chain defines the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) requirements for a manufacturer. The CCS applies to traded commodities: run-of-mine, concentrate, primary and secondary raw materials. It defines criteria for ensuring appropriate management systems for the traceability of responsibly sourced minerals, commodity-specific accounting methods, and chain of custody (CoC) material eligibility.

“Hosting this EU Horizon MaDiTraCe-funded pilot at Sakcable reinforces our ambition to position ourselves as a reliable and responsible partner for contractors, customers, and stakeholders who expect high standards of product quality, operational excellence, and social responsibility. With regulatory and market demands increasingly centered on ESG metrics and traceability, the CPS and CCS standards will offer companies a way to demonstrate that they are not only compliant with legislation but also aligned with best practice for responsible and ethical production. By participating in the pilot program, to assess our processes and practices, we are strengthening our transparency and reinforcing our credibility. We are proud to engage fully with DMT’s pilot program and will continue to build on the feedback we receive to further elevate our operations.”- said David Kapanadze, Managing Director of Sakcable.

‘’Pilot partners play a crucial role in assessing the practical applicability of the CERA 4in1 standards in real operational environments. Through the pilot implementation of CPS and CCS, we had the opportunity to learn, refine guidance, and ensure that these standards can be effectively applied across the different segments of the value chain. Sakcable’s openness, cooperation, and constructive engagement throughout the entire process enabled us to thoroughly test the feasibility of the standards and generate insights that will strengthen future implementation. We sincerely thank Sakcable for their partnership, transparency, and commitment to driving responsible practices forward together.”- said Samuel Olmos Betin and Thania Nowaz, Consultants of DMT.
